Sissy Nobby - Lay me Down (L-Vis 1990 remix) Miles Dyson - Satisfaction Hot Chip - One Life Stand (Drums of Death remix) Mosca - Square One (L-Vis 1990 remix) Mosca - Square One (Roska remix) Joy Orbison - Hyph Mngo (Andreas Saag’s House Perspective) Fingers Inc. - Mystery of Love (Instrumental) Gala - Freed From Desire
For no particular reason this video slipped into my mind, and I thought to share with you, because it is definitely something to see. I don’t know much else about Flowered Up, but this song is an unrestrained, wide-eyed celebration of and lament to the weekend and the weekender. The guy in the video wears a slammin leather waistcoat when he goes to the club.
They released the 13 minute single Weekender in ‘92 on Heavenly, with WIZ directing this short film to go with it.
Frontman Liam Maher died of a heroin overdose on the 20th October 2009.
Firstly Surfer Blood, who by all accounts are a guitar band from Florida. If you like your psy-trance then these guys probably aren’t for you, although they might be. I don’t know how eclectic you are. I don’t know you.
Second of all the Night Slugs label, run by L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok out of London. Their first release is Mosca’s Square One EP on January 25th, and its content sounds effing incredible. And to play us out here’s a video of what looks like someone cutting a Square One dubplate. Take it away Mosca!
